Last Man Down (2021) is a low-budget action film directed by Fansu Njie and starring Daniel Stisen, a former bodybuilder turned actor. The movie is best described as a post-apocalyptic revenge thriller that heavily draws inspiration from 1980s action movies like Rambo, Commando, and Mad Max.
After a global pandemic wipes out much of the population, ex-special forces operative John Wood (Daniel Stisen) isolates himself in a remote cabin in the forest following the murder of his wife by a military regime led by Commander Stone. Years later, a mysterious woman named Maria (Olga Kent), who holds the key to a possible cure, stumbles onto John’s property—closely followed by the same regime that destroyed his life.

However, it has gained some cult appeal among viewers who enjoy “so-bad-it’s-good” action flicks and over-the-top masculinity. It’s often described as a guilty pleasure for fans of grindhouse and old-school muscle hero films.
