A Working Man delivers exactly what fans of Jason Statham expect—relentless action, hand-to-hand combat, and a protagonist who takes down bad guys with brutal efficiency. The movie benefits from a strong supporting cast, including David Harbour and Michael Peña, who bring solid performances to the screen.
However, while the film excels in action, it stumbles in other areas. The plot is overcomplicated, introducing multiple subplots involving different criminal factions, which can dilute the main storyline. The pacing is inconsistent, with some moments dragging due to excessive exposition.

The villains, though numerous, lack depth, making the stakes feel lower than they should.

On the technical side, David Ayer’s signature gritty style is evident, grounding the action in a realistic, lived-in world. The fight choreography and set pieces are well-executed, making for an entertaining watch. While the film doesn’t reinvent the action genre, it remains an enjoyable ride for Statham fans, offering plenty of high-octane sequences and a no-nonsense protagonist taking on a corrupt underworld.
