Aquaman 3

As of March 2025, there is no official confirmation or release date for an “Aquaman 3” film. The most recent installment in the franchise, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,” was released in December 2023. This sequel received negative reviews and grossed $439 million worldwide against a production budget of $205–215 million.

Director James Wan has not announced plans for a third Aquaman film. Notably, “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” marked the final movie in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) before the franchise’s reboot under the leadership of James Gunn and Peter Safran, beginning with “Superman: Legacy” in 2025.

Additionally, reports indicate that Jason Momoa, who portrayed Aquaman, is transitioning to a new role within the DC universe. He is set to play the character Lobo in the upcoming film “Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow,” scheduled for release in the summer of 2026.

Therefore, while there has been fan speculation and concept trailers suggesting a 2025 release for “Aquaman 3,” these are not based on official announcements. As of now, the future of the Aquaman film series remains uncertain.
