Fruitvale Station

Fruitvale Station (2013) is a powerful American biographical drama film written and directed by Ryan Coogler in his feature-length directorial debut. The film stars Michael B. Jordan as Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old Bay Area resident who was fatally shot by a BART police officer at the Fruitvale station in Oakland, California, on New Year’s Day in 2009.

The story follows Oscar Grant III during the final day of his life, from the morning of December 31, 2008, through his interactions with family, friends, and strangers, leading up to the tragic and real-life incident at Fruitvale Station.
