Saw XI

The highly anticipated Saw XI is officially set for release on September 26, 2025. Following the success of Saw X, which revitalized the franchise, Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures are continuing the legacy of Jigsaw with another installment directed by Kevin Greutert. Greutert has deep roots in the franchise, having directed Saw VI, Saw 3D, and Saw X, ensuring continuity in its signature style.

Cast and Story

Tobin Bell is expected to reprise his iconic role as John Kramer (Jigsaw), despite his character’s death earlier in the series. The franchise’s use of non-linear storytelling allows for his return via flashbacks. Shawnee Smith may also return as Amanda Young, a crucial figure in Kramer’s twisted legacy. Additionally, Costas Mandylor’s character, Detective Mark Hoffman, was teased in Saw X’s mid-credits scene, hinting at his expanded role in Saw XI

Plot details are still under wraps, but the film is rumored to continue the events of Saw X. The previous film introduced Cecilia Pederson, a survivor of Jigsaw’s traps, and Saw XI may explore her potential revenge against Kramer’s legacy.

Production and Expectations

Currently in pre-production, Saw XI is being developed with producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules. Given Saw X’s strong box office performance—grossing over $125 million worldwide on a $13 million budget—the franchise continues to prove its commercial appeal.

With Saw XI, the series is expected to delve deeper into the psychological and moral dilemmas that define Jigsaw’s twisted philosophy, while introducing fresh, gruesome traps for audiences.

Stay tuned for more updates as production progresses!
